BREMERTON, Wash. - The Carroll College golf teams are in action for the final time this fall, taking on some of the West Coast's top teams at the two-day Battle at Bremerton, hosted by OUAZ at the Gold Mountain Golf Club.
With their lone two Frontier tournaments of the season in the rearview, the Fighting Saints will test their skills against several of the NAIA's top-ranked teams in the Evergreen State.
The Battle at Bremerton is a 54-hole tournament for both the men and the women, with each playing 36 holes on Monday before a final-round 18 on Tuesday at Gold Mountain Golf Club's two championship courses.
A unique venue, Gold Mountain houses two courses: the Olympic Course and the Cascade Course. The men will play all 54 of their holes this week on the Olympic Course, a track that has played host to several of the USGA's top amateur events and numerous NCAA Division I regional championships. The women will play 54 on the other side of the property, all three rounds on the Cascade Course.
The field includes CCC schools Oregon Tech, Lewis-Clark State, Corban, College of Idaho and the University of British Columbia, as well as several GSAC members, NCAA Division II teams, junior colleges and Canadian schools, providing plenty of competition.
Carroll's starting five on the men's side are Kyle Kennah (Laurel, Mont. / JR), Hudson Reinke (Filer, Idaho / JR), JT Slivinski (Montpelier, Idaho / SR), TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / SR), and Tanner Cromwell (Anaconda, Mont. / JR), while Carter Van Dyken (Bozeman, Mont. / FR) will compete as an individual only.
Live scoring is in effect for the full tournament, and leaderboards can be found HERE.
