Congratulations all around. Organizers are wrapping up SeptemberFest with a few more winners to celebrate.
The Calcutta Auction grew this year, with first-place winner James taking home just shy of $1,500. The more people who get in on the action, the bigger the pot gets, so attendees are encouraged to be part of it next year.
Organizers also celebrated the Balloon Scavenger Hunt winners, Evelynn and Breanna. The Sauter Balloon Festival is one of the favorite parts of SeptemberFest, getting kids and adults alike out on the walking mall to search for balloon creations.
Nearly $3,000 from the Calcutta Auction is going to Scouting America: Montana Council. With many nonprofit partners doing work in the community, a partner nonprofit was randomly selected to receive a portion of the auction proceeds, and organizers are supporting the work Scouting America does in Helena.
Organizers thanked Helena for another SeptemberFest and expressed gratitude to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored and helped make it happen. They plan to return next year.
They are seeking more people and businesses for the kids zone next year, as well as volunteers and sponsors. Those interested in being part of the 7th Annual Helena SeptemberFest: Treasure State Pirates can reach out to matthew@unitedwaylca.org.
