WHITEHALL — Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park invites you to join us Saturday, June 9 for a hike to see the beautiful bitterroot and other early summer wildflowers.
This is the perfect flower walk for the more active crowd as it requires a two-mile round trip hike that gains almost 500 feet of elevation. This is the second and final walk to view the rarely seen bitterroot and all those up for a good walk and some great views are encouraged to come to join us.
The walk is free to Montana residents and registered campers; there is a $5 entrance fee per vehicle to the park for non-residents.
Park Naturalist Tom Forwood will be meeting anyone interested in the campground’s main parking area at 10 a.m. Saturday. Other flower and nature walks will continue to be held each Saturday throughout the summer.
For times and additional information call Lewis and Clark Caverns at (406) 287-3541.
