FRENCHTOWN, Mont. - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), along with construction partner Knife River, Inc., will begin installing additional signage and lighting on Beckwith Street at the 90-degree curve near the railroad crossing and the intersection with Mullan Road. These safety improvements will address roadway departure crashes in the area.
Work will begin the week of June 22 and be completed by the end of August, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.
Crews will pause work for the Fourth of July at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, and resume construction activities on Monday, July 6.
Motorists should expect single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers and delays up to 15 minutes. Please follow all posted signage and reduced speeds through the project area. For the most up-to-date information, visit https://www.511mt.net/.
