For Carroll, 16 athletes made the voyage across the country to compete over the course of the three-day meet. The group includes eight individual qualifiers and two relays and is made up of nine men and seven women. The men are projected in the top 10 as a team.
Wednesday will be busy for the Saints with Carson Krack and Tucker Monaco starting off competition for the team in the decathlon. The two men are ranked first and second, respectively, in the event. Monaco will also compete Friday in the pole vault, where he has cleared the third-highest bar in the field.
Katelyn Christensen will be the first women's competitor for the Saints, starting with the heptathlon Wednesday morning. Currently ninth, she'll aim to break into the scoring eight. She will also throw in the javelin on Thursday after wrapping up Day 2 of the heptathlon.

In field events, Brynn Wandle (pole vault) and Reuben Hornby (javelin) will compete Wednesday as well. Wandle has jumped the fourth-highest in the field after placing fourth at the NAIA Indoor National Championships this spring. Hornby is ranked third after placing second in the nation last outdoor season.
For running events, Claire Bucklin (400-meter hurdles), Oliver Morris (3,000-meter steeplechase), and the men's 4x800-meter relay (Tanner Joyce, Wyatt Ehredt, Jack Jensen, Conrad Schruth) will contest their preliminary rounds on Wednesday. There will be five heats in the 400-meter hurdles, with the top placer in each and next three fastest times reaching the final. Bucklin races in the fifth heat. In the steeplechase, eighth-ranked Morris will compete in Heat 2 of 3, with the top three and next five fastest times making the final. The relay runs in the third of four heats. The top placer in each and next four fastest will race again Thursday.
The decathlon and heptathlon will conclude over the course of the day Thursday. The women's 4x400-meter relay (Chloe Raats, Claire Bucklin, Rylee Herbstritt, Madalen Shipman) will race Thursday evening. They will be in Heat 2 of 3. The top two placers and next two fastest times will make Friday's final.
On Friday, Monaco will compete in the men's pole vault. The Saints will hope to compete in several running event finals in the afternoon as well.
