STEM — Science, Technology, Engineering and Math — is more than an acronym or a list of school subjects; it is a holistic approach to learning and problem-solving. By breaking down the silos between these fields, STEM encourages students to interconnect their knowledge to solve real-world challenges.
While science explores the natural world and technology creates the tools that connect people, engineering provides the design framework for everything from bridges to circuits. Mathematics serves as the essential language underlying it all, using patterns to predict the future.
This literacy is vital for Montana’s youth. Whether through classroom instruction, after-school coding camps or hands-on internships, STEM education builds a foundation for any career path.
To support this mission, the Town Pump Charitable Foundation awarded 110 grants of $1,000 each to Montana schools in 2025 to fund essential supplies. Town Pump is proud to announce that this grant program will continue in 2026.
