--The 34th annual Jeanette Martinich Classic Invitational will be held March 5-6 at Star Lanes, and is open to any qualified female bowler – including junior bowlers.
Star Lanes will host two qualifying rounds Saturday with starting times at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Finals will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday. There will also be 50-50 drawings and prizes.

--February 20 is ‘Try Hockey for Free’ day at the Butte Community Ice Center, located 1700 Wall St.
The event is ran by USA Hockey and is a chance for young players to try the game for free. Equipment will be provided by the Ice Center.

--Registrations are being accepted for the Montana Western Classic Bas-ketball Tourney, which is scheduled to run April 9 and 10 at Montana Western University.
The tournament will feature girls and boys teams from third through ninth grade. The registration fee is $200 per team with a guarantee of four games. The registration deadline is April 4.

--The annual Wulfman's Frigid Digger Run starts at 10 a.m. Feb. 20 from the Montana Tech HPER Complex.
Distances are 3 and 7.3 miles. Entry fees are $10 for age 14 and under and $20 ($25 after Feb. 14) for age 15 and over. The fee includes a long-sleeved t-shirt and refresh-ments.
