• A volleyball camp for high school players, the Butte High School Skills Camp, will be held July 16 through 18 with a cost of $65. The camp will run from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. each day. • The Butte High School cross country team will begin its summer training program on June 18 at Hillcrest Elementary School. Summer workouts will run from 7 a.m. until approximately 8:30 a.m. Middle school students are also welcome to join the summer program. • The Butte Central boys basketball team will hold a basketball camp for boys in grades 3 through 8 June 25 through 28 at the Maroon Activities Center. The four-day camp, which will focus on fundamentals and competition, will be led by staff and players from the Central boys basketball team. The cost for the camp is $70. Checks should be made payable to Central coach Brodie Kelly. The registration deadline is June 20. Registration forms and payment can also be submitted on the first day of the camp. • Butte Central will host the 20th Annual MacArthur-O’Brien Memorial Golf Tournament on June 28 at the Butte Country Club. The shotgun-start tournament will begin at noon. The fee is $100 per player and $400 per team with a 30-team limit. Sponsorships are $125 per hole. The entry deadline is June 22.
