BOZEMAN — State champion Billings Central placed eight players and runnerup Hamilton had six, but Columbia Falls took the prize for most athletes on the Class A all-state football team with 11.
Drew Morgan of Columbia Falls and Carson Rostad of Hamilton are two of the four quarterbacks honored. Mitchell Norslien of Lewistown, who announced his commitment to Montana Tech on Tuesday, and Gage Hull of Laurel are the other two.
Billings Central's offensive strength was at running back, and the Rams placed two on the team: seniors Jack Studer and Duncan Kraft. Columbia Falls flexed its muscles on the offensive line, with tackle Jakob Beich, guard Gage Karlin and center Taylor Gladeau.
On defense, Billings Central had JaQuawhann Booth and Marcus Wehr on the defensive line, Brennan Bruce at linebacker and Crishon Dixon at cornerback.
