WHITEFISH -- Volleyball players from Montana Tech in Butte, the University of Providence in Great Falls and Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, earned Frontier Conference honors this week.
The University of Providence's Sidney Andersen was named the attacker of the week for the Frontier Conference. The 6-foot-3 sophomore right side hitter from Placentia, California, averaged 5.13 kills with a .301 hitting percentage in the Argos' 3-0 win over MSU-Northern and 2-3 loss to Carroll College.
Sabrina Hopcroft of Montana Tech was named defender of the week for Frontier. The 5-foot-7 junior libero from Florence averaged 8.57 digs per set and had a 92 percent serving percentage with two service aces in the Orediggers' 3-0 win over Montana Western and 1-3 loss to No. 8 Rocky Mountain College.
Lewis-Clark State College's Lauren West garnered the setter award for this week. The 5-foot-7 senior setter from San Diego averaged 9.56 assists and 2.33 digs per set in the Warriors' 3-2 win over Montana Western and 2-3 loss to Rocky. She recorded a career high 60 assists against the Battlin' Bears and the match-winning kill against the Bulldogs.
