BOZEMAN — The men’s and women’s basketball teams from Montana State are set for their second home doubleheader of the season Wednesday night at Worthington Arena.

The MSU women host the University of Providence, a Frontier Conference team from Great Falls, at 6 p.m. The men’s team will play Montana Western, also of the Frontier Conference, at 8.

The Bobcat men (1-1) return home following an 81-73 loss at Utah State on Monday, a game in which Tyler Hall and Harald Frey each scored 15 points. MSU defeated Omaha in its season opener last week, 89-80 in overtime.

The women’s team split two games on its season-opening road trip to California last week. The Bobcats (1-1) lost 98-47 at USC on Friday but bounced back to beat Long Beach State 62-51 on Sunday.

Point guard Hannah Caudill hit six 3-pointers and scored 24 points in the victory.

It is the second home doubleheader for the MSU teams. The men defeated MSU-Northern 78-73 while the women topped Montana Tech 86-64 on Nov. 1. Both were exhibition games.
