Much has been made of the unexpected announcement that Lt. Governor Angela McLean will leave her post in January 2016.
And, as has been previously chronicled by the Lee Newspapers State Bureau, McLean's email communication sheds some light on what appears to have become a fractious, toxic relationship between the Governor and Lt. Governor in the final months leading up to the announcement.
As with most workplaces, McLean sends and receives many, many emails. Most of these emails are innocuous and unimportant, chronicling the day-to-day tasks of Montana's government. Some, however, offer a bit more insight into the relationships between the major players in Montana government.
