Woman allegedly assaults boyfriend

A woman was arrested Friday night after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend, police say.

Police responded to an apartment on the 10 block of O’Neil Street just before 6 p.m. when a woman, Kristina Marie Rowland, 35, of Butte, phoned police to report a disturbance with her boyfriend.

When police arrived, Rowland was standing outside the residence and told police her boyfriend had attacked her. Rowland showed no signs of injury, police said.

Police observed Rowland’s boyfriend with a bloody nose and reported that Rowland was the primary aggressor in the dispute.

Rowland requested medical attention and was transported to St. James Healthcare while the boyfriend remained.

After she was examined by St. James staff, police arrested Rowland for partner/family member assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

Aggravated DUI

Dustin Clark, 36, of Butte, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence.

Clark was pulled over by officers around 12:30 a.m., Monday, on Bernie’s Way near the Granite Mountain Memorial, where he failed a roadside sobriety test, police said.

Police said Clark agreed to take a breathalyzer and blew twice the legal limit.

Clark is being charged with an aggravated DUI.

In-home burglary

A man living on the 700 block of Wyoming Street called police after 11 a.m. Sunday morning to report that $880 worth of property was taken from his home.

The man told police he had been in the process of moving when he accidentally left the door unlocked to his current residence. The man left the home for approximately three hours, police said, and when he returned he discovered a space heater, computer, dresser and small amount of ammunition were missing.

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests involving the theft have been made.

Screaming on the street

Police arrested a man early Saturday morning on the corner of Park and Main Streets after observing the man screaming at passersby on the sidewalk.

Officers approached the man around 12:45 a.m., at which point the man, Brant Hugh Murphy, 24, of Butte, began swearing at the officers.

Police arrested Murphy for disorderly conduct at the scene, and he was later taken to the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center.

During the booking process, police said, officers discovered Murphy was carrying a small amount of marijuana along with three prescription pills. At the time of his booking police also discovered Murphy had a criminal contempt warrant out for his arrest.

Murphy is being charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt, disorderly conduct and possession of dangerous drugs, along with a felony charge for dangerous drug possession.
