You took my cigs
A Butte man allegedly punched a woman in the face over a missing pack of cigarettes on Thanksgiving, police say.
The woman was cooking dinner around 5:30 p.m. Thursday at a house in the 1300 block of Casey Street when 59-year-old William Joseph Sirucek came into the kitchen and accused her of taking his cigarettes, according to police.
The woman said she put a plate on the counter, put her hands up as if to say “not me” and Sirucek punched her in the nose. She had blood on her nose and lips when police arrived, but she did not go to the hospital.
Sirucek was arrested on a felony partner-family member assault complaint and was still in jail late Monday morning with bond set at $10,000.
