Police reports:

You took my cigs

A Butte man allegedly punched a woman in the face over a missing pack of cigarettes on Thanksgiving, police say.

The woman was cooking dinner around 5:30 p.m. Thursday at a house in the 1300 block of Casey Street when 59-year-old William Joseph Sirucek came into the kitchen and accused her of taking his cigarettes, according to police.

The woman said she put a plate on the counter, put her hands up as if to say “not me” and Sirucek punched her in the nose. She had blood on her nose and lips when police arrived, but she did not go to the hospital.

Sirucek was arrested on a felony partner-family member assault complaint and was still in jail late Monday morning with bond set at $10,000.

There was a woman and man inside the house and Matt, 29, began yelling at them, saying he was owed $50. He then grabbed the woman already inside the house, threw her to the ground and broke a kitchen table, police say.

He was booked on three misdemeanor complaints: simple assault, criminal mischief for allegedly breaking the kitchen table and possession of drug paraphernalia for having a pipe used to smoke pot. He posted bail a few hours later.

Facebook issues

A man and woman were fighting over “Facebook issues” at a residence in the 700 block of West Park Street Friday night when things escalated.

Police say 26-year-old Richard Douglas Montgomery of Butte pushed the woman and then threw her cell phone so that she couldn’t call police. He was booked on misdemeanor complaints of partner-family member assault and tampering with a communication device. He was still behind bars late Monday morning.
