Slow-speed chase

At 1:55 a.m. Friday, police saw Joshua James Henry, 33, of Butte and an unidentified female passenger on an ATV near the intersection of Ottawa Street and Dahlgren Avenue. Believing Henry to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest, police attempted to stop Henry, but he took off, dropping his unidentified passenger and still refusing to pull over. But due to mechanical difficulties, the ATV he was driving would not exceed 10 mph. He eventually stopped near the intersection of North Drive and East Street. Henry was taken into custody on suspicion of failure to stop when emerging from an alley, obstructing a police officer, operating a vehicle without proper registration, and felony criminal contempt stemming from the underlying warrant.

Unauthorized use, DUI

At 12:45 a.m. Friday morning police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Excelsior Avenue, where they reported finding a car driven by Kaylee Jaden Berry, 23, of Butte which had crashed into a guard rail. Berry told police she had been drinking "a lot" and indeed eventually tested at more than twice the legal limit. Police said Berry had taken a friend's car without permission and was returning it when she had the accident. She was arrested at the scene on suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended driver's license, and aggravated DUI, all misdemeanors.
