Suspected meth residue

Butte police helped probation and parole officers arrest a 34-year-old man Wednesday morning for allegedly having suspected meth residue and a pipe in his home.

Officers responded to the 2800 block of Silver Bow Boulevard at 7 a.m. to search the home of Christopher Parmar, who was on parole for sexual intercourse without consent charges out of Park County, according to the Montana Department of Corrections’ Correctional Offender Network.

Inside of Parmar’s residence, officers located a pipe with suspected meth residue that had reportedly been scraped out and placed on a table, presumably for Parmar to snort, police said.

Parmar was cited for felony possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and parole violation. He was booked into the county jail at 7:35 a.m.
