Knives at the Party Palace

A Butte woman who had knives taken from her at the Party Palace got angry and punched an employee in the face, police say.

Officers were called to the bar around 9:30 p.m. Friday and were told that 31-year-old Roselyn Trottier had taken two knives out of her purse. She was told she couldn’t have them and they were taken.

She then leaned over the bar gabbed an employee by the hair and punched her, police say. She was arrested for misdemeanor assault and a felony probation violation.

DUI and other misdemeanors

Police saw a 1973 blue GMC pickup speeding in the area of 1st an Iowa streets around 11:30 p.m. Friday and pulled the driver over.

They saw two empty vodka bottles and the driver, 27-year-old Mackenzie Schaeffer, appeared to be drunk and failed field sobriety maneuvers at the scene. He was booked on four misdemeanors — DUI, habitual offender operating a motor vehicle, no liability insurance and speeding.
