Man injured after jumping from Uptown Butte building

Paramedics load a man into the ambulance after he fired shots in the Synesis7 building on Alaska Street before jumping out of a second floor window on Dec. 27.

Butte police released their findings from the search conducted on the car of the 28-year-old man who jumped out of a second-story window on Thursday.

According to Undersheriff George Skuletich, there was “nothing of interest” found in the man’s vehicle.

Skuletich said Butte police will not release the man’s name until charges are filed against him. He was scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, Skuletich said.

As previously reported, the man had brought a 9mm handgun into the Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement building, claimed he was in danger, fled to the Synesis7 building across the street, allegedly threatened to shoot “anyone without a badge,” and fired at least four rounds. The suspect was the only one injured.
