The 54th annual turkey dinner at the Avon Community Hall will be from noon to 4 p.m. Dinner is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and preschoolers eat for free. Avon is located northeast of Deer Lodge on Highway 12.
The third annual Montana Antiques Appraisal Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Butte Civic Center. Expert appraisers Timothy Gordon and Grant Zahajko will be on hand to assess and give verbal valuations on such items as fine art, historic objects and other rarities. Appraisal tickets are $20 per item, plus any applicable fees. There is a limit of three ticketed appraisal items per person. Spectator tickets are $10 per person. Children 12 and under are free. All tickets are available for purchase through the Butte Civic Center website.

The annual Rick Holman Harvest Dinner will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1621 Thornton. The menu includes roast beef. Friends of the Montana Tech Library will be holding a book sale from 2 to 5 p.m. with items priced to sell at the Montana Tech library. Books include science, handyman, fiction, travel and more. Hardbacks are $1, paperbacks, 50 cents, DVDs, $1, and special books priced as marked.
