HOLIDAY HOME TOUR
The Butte Symphony Guild's annual Holiday Home Tour is from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 or two for $25. In addition, tea will be served from 3 to 5 p.m. at The Springs, 300 Mount Highland Drive. Tickets can be purchased at Keenan's Jewelry in the Butte Plaza Mall or Books & Books. The event supports the Butte Symphony.
Just in time for the holidays, "Little Women" graces the Orphan Girl Theatre stage. Shows are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. through Dec. 16. The Orphan Girl Theatre is located at 316 W. Park St. in the lower level of the Mother Lode Theatre. The patron entrance is through the gate on Galena Street. For box office access, enter through the side door on Washington Street. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids 10 and under. There is no Spotlight showing for this production. BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Santa will be taking a break from his busy schedule from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Metals Bank to have breakfast with his favorite people -- the families of Butte. This year all children under 12 eat for free. Santa will also be bringing small gifts for children who join him with their parents.
'IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE'
"It's a Wonderful Life," the iconic Christmas fantasy comedy-drama from 1946, takes to the main stage of the Cutler Brothers Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. Reservations are highly recommended and may be arranged by calling the box office at 406-846-4096 or by visiting cutlerbros.com and clicking the "buy tickets" tab. The theatre is located at 301 Main St., Deer Lodge.
Montana Tech's 32nd annual Society of Professional Engineer's Bazaar and Trade Show will be at 9 a.m. at the Maroon Activity Center, 55 E. Mercury St. Vendors from all over Montana plan to participate.
ICE SCULPTING AND SANTA
Butte's 18th annual ice sculpting contest will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Uptown. Santa will join the event to have breakfast with families at the Metals Sports Bar and Grill, 8 W. Park Street, from 9:30 a.m. until noon. This year, all children under 12 eat for free. Santa will also be bringing small gifts for children who join him with their parents.
The public is invited to join the Rotary Club of Butte in celebrating the holiday season and the new lights on the Rotary Tree at 6 p.m.in Victory Circle Park, corner of East Park and Arizona in Uptown Butte. In addition, the Butte High Varsity Choir, led by Ted Farabee, will sing Christmas carols.
SANTA AT CAROUSEL
Jolly old St. Nick is paying a visit to the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel at Stodden Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa will be visiting with children and collecting their wish lists.
The Whitehall Christmas Stroll & Quilt Show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Whitehall Community Center, 11 N Division St, Whitehall. There will be vendors, quilt show, chili feed, hay rides, activities, art show and more.
The World Museum of Mining will be running a 100-foot underground tour at 11 a.m. Attendees are asked to dress warm and be prepared to walk through snow. Advance reservations are required. The Science Mine, 36 E. Granite St., will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. How many ways can you bend a ray of light? Explore optics in the STEAM-Powered Kids project area from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Enjoy new exhibits – the telephone switch – and good old favorites including Tesla coils, stream tables, laser mazes, and more. Non-member admission is $5 per person; $15 per family, or renew your membership for the season.

- An anxiety and depression support group meets at 1:30 p.m. at 721 S. Montana.
