The Butte farmers market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday on Park and Main in Uptown Butte. Details: www.mainstreetbutte.org/fmarket.htm or Facebook at ButteFM.
The Dillon farmers market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Buffalo Street. This community event connects local producers and shoppers in an open-air setting and offers locally grown produce as well as locally prepared or processed food specialties, baked goods, and arts and crafts.
Tours of the Anaconda Stack are being offered at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.
The Smeltermen’s Barbecue and Brewfest is from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Anaconda Chamber of Commerce, 306 E. Park Ave., Anaconda. There will be several brews on tap, and $15 gets you a commemorative glass, two tokens, a wristband, and voting rights. A barbecue competition will also be held.
The Ennis Arts Association will host the 23rd annual Madison Valley Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Peter T's Park, located on the historic trail between Yellowstone National Park and Virginia City.
SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARKS
Shakespeare in the Parks’ “Love’s Labour’s Lost” will be performed at 6 p.m. at the Old Prison Yard, 1106 Main St., Deer Lodge. The event is free.
The 141st commemoration of the Battle of the Big Hole will take place at the Big Hole National Battlefield. Commemorative activities will begin at approximately 10 a.m. near the Nez Perce camp. Bring water, sunscreen, and a folding chair or blanket. The Nez Perce camp is a ¾-mile walk from the lower parking lot. Following the commemoration ceremonies at 2:30 p.m., Michael Penney and Nez Perce Nation Drum will perform drum and song.
Pintler Pets will have a garage sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Storage Unit 3, Smelter Road, east Anaconda. New items will be added as space allows. All proceeds benefit the animals at Pintler Pets.
Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” will conclude the Cutler Bros.’ Summer Theatre season as the show runs through Sunday, Aug. 19. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. For more details or to make reservations, call the box office at 406-846-4096. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. This show is not recommended for children under the age of 4. The theatre is located at 301 Main St., Deer Lodge.
