A semi-truck overturned Saturday evening when the driver tried to merge too fast onto I-90/15 eastbound as he was coming off the I-15 interchange just east of Butte.

No other driver was involved in the accident. The driver of the semi-truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. James Hospital, said Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jade Shope.

The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The driver was cited for careless driving. The driver was wearing his seat belt. Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the crash, Shope said.
