The Fairy & Wizard Festival at Tizer Gardens near Jefferson City draws families from near and far.

JUNE

4 — Parade on Main Street, with a Family Day at Veterans Park on Main Street. The day concludes with a fireworks display on Cap Hill.

22-25 —Jefferson County’s Annual Fair and NRA Rodeo, “A Fair of the Heart” is at Jefferson County Recreation Park, off of Highway 69, ½-mile south of Boulder. Free admission to the fair. 24 — Boulder Annual Classic Car Show at Veterans Park. One hundred classic and antique cars on display free to the public; includes concessions and music. For registration details, go to http://www.bouldermtchamber.com. The Boulder Kiwanis will be the food vendors. Kiwanis members will be dressed in 1950s costumes.

7 — Boulder’s annual music and art festival is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bring a chair to sit and listen, or swing your partner to tunes by professional and amateur Montana artists. Have lunch or a snack and peruse authors and artist’s creations in Veterans Park on Main Street. Admission is free. The Boulder Kiwanis will be the food vendors.

TIZER GARDENS

The gardens will be open Thursday nights until 9 p.m. from June through September (weather permitting). Bring your picnics, wiener roast (provided we can have a fire), or plan your photo shoots. Entertainers are welcome to share their talents on Thursday nights, but call ahead to reserve your spot.

General admission is $9; $7 for children 5-12; and children 4 and under get in free.

MAY

12 — Happy Mother’s Day! Grand opening 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mothers get in free. Bring a picnic.

JUNE

16 — Happy Father’s Day! Fathers get in free 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bring a picnic.

29 — The annual Fairy & Wizards Festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Family friendly, dress up in your finest fairy and wizard garb. Admission is $7, includes kid activities, music, food, and kids' parades.

JULY

21 — High Tea begins at 2 p.m. Enjoy a three-course luncheon, an afternoon garden stroll, and sweet harp music. Reservations required, tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance.

AUGUST

10 — The annual “Celebration of Herbs & Natural Healing” will be held.
