Spooky carnival comes to Uptown Butte
Once again, Butte Halloween is hosting a night of spooky fun and games for all ages from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in Uptown Butte.
Carnival lovers of all ages can purchase tokens at the Granger Lot at the corner of Park and Dakota in Uptown Butte and from there go on a scavenger hunt throughout the Uptown.
Vendors and carnival games will be set up at the Midway at the Granger Lot. In addition, games and sideshows will be spread throughout participating businesses in the Uptown business district. Visitors can find and visit all those locations in order to compete for grand prizes on display at the main midway.
Sideshow acts will include Butte Magic’s Xenobiological Tent of the Odd, Noose Von Link’s Theater of the Bizarre, and Mistress Morgana’s Serpentarium.
The games at the midway are expected to include Zombie Pop, a Devil Duck Pond, a Strongman Hammer, a Lollipop Pull, and Milk Bottle Knock Down.
Tokens are 50 cents, and games are one token. Prices for sideshows will be listed at the token booth for easy reference.

Butte MS Self Help Support Group meets at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in the meeting room at Perkins.

World of Wine set for Nov. 2
World of Wine, a fundraiser for the Butte Chamber of Commerce, will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Hotel Finlen, 100 E. Broadway St.
The cost is $50 per person and includes a signature wine glass, along with your choice of 40 wines from around the world and appetizers.

Church to host annual dinner
The annual Rick Holman Harvest Dinner will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1621 Thornton.
The menu includes roast beef. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids under 12.
