Rotary to hold tree-lighting ceremony
The public is invited to join the Rotary Club of Butte in celebrating the holiday season and the new lights on the Rotary Tree at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in Victory Circle Park, corner of East Park and Arizona in Uptown Butte.
The Rotary Tree was planted Aug. 23, 2017, and the lights were donated by NorthWestern Energy last month.
In addition, the Butte High Varsity Choir, led by Ted Farabee, will sing Christmas carols.
‘Spirit of Christmas’ Stroll Friday
ENNIS — An old-fashioned “Spirit of Christmas” Stroll will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in Ennis. Merchants will be open late, and serving up Christmas treats. Also on tap will be pictures with Santa, Christmas stories for children, roasted chestnuts, live music, ice sculpture contest, decoration contest, special gallery events and more.
The Lions Club Park by the Madison River will be lit for the holiday season.

‘Twistmas in December’ at Butte Elks
The Elks Lodge will host the Brewery Follies’ “Twistmas in December” at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 14-15, at the Butte Elks Lodge.
Tickets are $22.50 in advance or $30 at the door the night of the show. The show promises to be filled with mirth and humor.
Also, the bar will be open for your favorite beverage.
This is a fund raiser for the Elks Lodge to help continue with their charity work the lodge does. Details: 406-782-3278.
Twin Bridges ‘Feast-ival’ Dec. 15
TWIN BRIDGES — The annual Twin Bridges Christmas “Feast-ival” & Ugly Sweater Contest is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Madison County Fairgrounds in Twin Bridges.
Come out and visit the local merchants, and then head to the fairgrounds for a full chili-feed, bingo, kids’ games and crafts, hayrides, music, door prizes, and more.

Breakfast with Santa set for Saturday
Santa will be taking a break from his busy schedule from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Metals Bank to have breakfast with his favorite people — the families of Butte.
This year all children under 12 eat for free. Santa will also be bringing small gifts for children who join him with their parents.
UMW to present winter concert
DILLON — The Montana Western music program will presents its winter concert featuring the UMW concert band, concert choir and signature ensemble, The Cantabileers at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the Beier Auditorium on the UMW campus.
This concert will showcase traditional repertoire along with new and exciting holiday arrangements. Admission is free.
