Professor to present two papers

Dr. John W. Ray of Montana Tech’s Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Department has had two peer reviewed papers accepted for presentation at two international conferences.

This spring he will be presenting a peer reviewed paper titled “Religion, Political Civility and Civic Friendship” at the Ninth International Conference on Religion and Spirituality in Society to be held at and co-sponsored by the University of Granada — Spain and the Religion in Society Research Network.

In addition, Ray will be presenting a peer reviewed paper this summer titled “The Clash of Civilizations within the United States” at the Twelfth International Global Studies Conference to be held at and co-sponsored by Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

He teaches classes at Montana Tech in political science, philosophy and political theory.

‘A Gardener’s Night’ planned

Butte-Silver Bow Public Library, the Butte Seed Library, and Park Street Community Garden are hosting “Suds, Seeds, & Sowers — A Gardener's Night” from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Muddy Creek Brewery, 2 E. Galena St.
