Illusionist to perform in Dillon
DILLON — The Southwest Montana Arts Council brings Kent Messmer with his magic and illusions at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, to the Beaverhead County High School Auditorium.
Messmer is an experienced Billings-based entertainer who does stunts and magic tricks with a humorous flare. His act features a mixture of full-stage illusions and close-up magic.
This performance is a bonus performance for the Southwest Montana Arts Council Showstoppers season ticket holders. Season tickets, or individual tickets for this event only, are available at the door. Tickets prices are $10 for adults and $5 for youth 6 -17.
Library looking for board members
The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library is looking for new board members.

Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service Training Classes will be held in Butte at the Business Development Bldg., 305 W. Mercury, 2nd floor education room.
All classes will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Oct. 22, Nov. 12, Dec. 3, and Dec. 17
This class is for anyone serving or selling alcohol to include bar owners, bartenders, convenience store clerks, grocery store clerks, servers and for special events, such as festivals, where alcohol will be sold or consumed. RASS classes are free.

Baha'i film shown at library
The Butte-Silver Bow Baha'i Community will show a film "Dawn of the Light" at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Butte Public Library.
The event is in observance of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Bab, a co-founder of the Baha'i Faith. The film follows the personal search for truth and meaning undertaken by eight people from different parts of the world. This event is free and open to the public.
