Business workshop set for Jan. 29
Headwaters RC&D and the Butte Job Service have partnered together to present “Spark: Ignite Your Business” workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Emma Park Community Center.
This one-day workshop will cover topics such as financing your business, business ownership and entrepreneurship, understanding markets and your competitive space, the economics of a small business start-up, picking the correct legal entity for your business, business planning and how to create a business cash-flow.
There will be a keynote talk from entrepreneur Casey Kelly from Kinetic Fitness in Butte. The cost is $25 per person and attendees must register beforehand at bit.ly/hwspark.
Butte CPR annual meeting Tuesday
Butte Citizens for Preservation & Revitalization will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Butte Archives.
General business will be conducted and elections will be held for officers to serve during 2019. Members and people interested in learning more about CPR are invited to attend.
Butte High to celebrate the arts
Butte High School will hold its “Celebration of the Arts" Thursday, Jan. 17, in the school auditorium.
The art department will have an art show from 6 to 9 p.m., and the choirs, bands, strings, and poetry club will perform at 7 p.m. Come up and support these aspiring artists. Admission is free.
Uptown Toasters announce winners
Competition winners for the Uptown Toasters, Toastmaster Club #9765 include Jodi Peretti, best speaker; Mandi Kambic, best evaluator; and Brandon DeShaw, best table topics respondent.

Butte KC breakfast planned Sunday
Butte Knights of Columbus Butte Council 668 will have its monthly fundraiser breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Jan. 13, at 224 W. Park St. Proceeds from this month’s breakfast will go to the New Hope Pregnancy Clinic.
The menu includes French toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, eggs, coffee, and juice. The cost is $8 per person or $20 per family. Details: 406-782-2891 (after 3 p.m.).
