Jailed for assault

Robert Joseph McCleanahan, 18, was jailed just after midnight Thursday for two felony counts of assaulting a minor and one misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police received a call about a large house party on the 2800 block of Edwards. On their way to the residence, they were also told a fight had ensued.

When they arrived, two males took off. One of the males, McCleanahan, was caught in an adjacent yard.

People at the scene told police that McCleanahan started the fight and hit two juvenile females. He also had a marijuana pipe in his possession.

Felony warrant

Late Thursday night, William Robert Murphy, 31, of Butte was picked up in Rocker on a felony warrant for revocation of sentence.

He was taken to the Butte Detention Center.

‘Tail’ tale

A woman reported to the police Thursday morning that a horse being housed at the Butte Vigilante Fairgrounds had some hair cut from her tail.

Sisters argue

A 22-year-old woman was being told by her sister to move out of a residence she shared with her in the 1900 block of Phillips.

The sisters’ mother arrived at 1:30 p.m. and the 22-year-old allegedly punched her mother in the face and grabbed her around the neck.

She left the area with a male friend. A warrant for her arrest has been filed.

Angry man

A woman was visiting a friend at 11:30 p.m. in Uptown Butte when a man came to the residence and started yelling and screaming.

He then grabbed the visitor and pushed her up against the wall. The case is under investigation.

Fireworks complaint

Residents in the vicinity of Cora Terrace called to complain about fireworks going off just before midnight Thursday.

When officers arrived, the fireworks enthusiast had gone home.

Loud noisemakers

Just before 3 a.m. Friday, police responded to Fairmont Hot Springs regarding loud noises coming from a room.

The people staying in the room were told to turn down the music, take their voices down a notch and go to bed.
