Tuesday night was not a good night for mothers and sons.
Police were called to Florence Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. Apparently, a mother and her school-age son had been arguing because the son wouldn’t do his homework. By the time police arrived at the residence, the situation had resolved.
Just a little over an hour later, police were called to the 2800 block of Farragut, as a dispute had ensued between a mother and her adult son over a vacuum. Again, by the time police arrived, the family squabble was over and done with.
Residents living near Clark Park called the police station just after midnight Wednesday complaining of a truck driving on the park’s ice skating rink.

But when police arrived, the truck was adjacent to the rink and people were playing hockey on the rink.
Out of gas
Police got a report about a suspicious car at the Maroon Activities Center on Tuesday morning.
After further investigation, police found that the car was left there by the owner because it had run out of gas.
Danny Attilio Luciano, 35, and Vaughn Dennis Taylor, 42, were both jailed on parole violations.
Reports say Luciano had meth in his possession at the time of arrest and added to his offenses.
