Butte police reports
Butte-Silver Bow police officers responded to 30 fireworks complaints June 25 through early July 6, according to Undersheriff George Skuletich.
Before the holiday weekend, Skuletich told The Montana Standard the curfew for lighting fireworks is between 10:30 and 11 p.m. Most people adhere to the curfew, he said, but some do not.
“We usually give some leeway on July 3,” said Skuletich. “Otherwise, we shut them down pretty quick.”
Partner/family member assault
- Officers arrested Cody Keller, 23, of Butte at around 8 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of partner/family member assault after a disturbance call between a male and female in the 2700 block of Colusa Street.
The woman told officers that Keller came home and began yelling at her, so she locked herself in the bedroom because she was scared. The suspect then kicked in the door, she said, and struck her and damaged the bedroom walls.
- Courtney Flink, 23, of Butte was arrested on suspicion of partner/family member assault after officers responded to the 300 block of West Front Street on a report of an assault that happened in the 1700 block of Elm Street at 3 a.m. Monday.
The alleged victim told officers that Flink woke him up by slapping him and knocking his glasses off. She then knocked him to the ground and bit and scratched him, he said. When he attempted to leave, he said Flink attacked him again. He told officers he ran out the front door, got into his car and drove to the Safeway lot and called police.
Officers arrested Flink at the Elm Street residence.
