STOLEN CARDS

A Butte woman faces a charge of deceptive practice with a credit card after she allegedly tried to pay for a motel room with a stolen card, police said Wednesday. Upon investigation, authorities said Jennifer Lince, 34, of Butte, also was wanted in Lake County on a warrant, and also is accused of violating her parole. Police searched her motel room and found other credit cards and Social Security cards.

FATHER-SON FIGHT

Brandt Murphy, 24, of Butte, got into a battle at about 6 p.m. Tuesday with his father in the 400 block of Brown’s Gulch Road. The father suffered injuries and Murphy was charged with misdemeanor partner family member assault, minor injury.

DRIVER HITS POLE, HOME

Dustin Aschenbrenner, 35, of Butte, is accused of running into a power pole and striking a residence in the 1700 block of Whitman Street at about 2:10 a.m. Wednesday. The homeowner lost power and the issue was reported to NorthWestern Energy, according to police. Aschenbrenner received minor injuries and was believed to be inebriated. He was treated at the scene, given a sobriety test and charged with drunk driving and reckless driving, both misdemeanors.
