March 30, 1926-May 29, 2019
William John "Jack" Tresidder went to be with the angels on Wednesday May 29th.
He was born on March 30, 1926 to Florence and William Tresidder in Butte. He graduated from Ennis High School. He enlisted in the Army straight out of high school and served our nation until he was honorably discharged.
He married Jean Dixon and they had 50 years together. During those years they spent much of their time at their cabin in Whitehall. They loved having everyone out for a barbecue and mowing the acre of land. Everyone enjoyed their turn on the riding lawn mowers, when they worked! They were wonderful hosts to everyone and enjoyed the family time.
Jack worked for the Anaconda Company as a warehouseman until he retired in 1983. He was very organized and could find anything you were looking for, especially in his garage.
He was a volunteer fireman for the Boulevard Volunteer Fire Department for years and was very proud to be a part of it.
Jack had a great love for the Star Lanes Bowling Alley where he was affectionately known as "Unc". He spent much of his time there and was instrumental in the kids bowling leagues and tournaments. He worked until recently when his health started to fail.
He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren which brought him so much joy. They loved him equally and his smile lit up every year when they sang Happy Birthday to him.
Jack was an animal lover and he always had treats in his pockets for any dog he ran across. His dog Koda was his constant companion and was by his side until the angels came for him.
Jack was strong, courageous and loved by many who would describe him as kind and sweet. He loved playing tricks on people and fell victim to his share of them from family members as well.
He is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughters, Barb (Dave) Searle, Jackie Hardy (Tom Jonart). Grandchildren David (Beth) Knoepke, Jerrod (Andrea) Hardy, Justin (Karen) Hardy, Jill (Hollie) Hardy, Justin (Alynn) Jonart, Staci (Paul) Kondelis, and Shawn Searle (deceased). Jack's memory will also live on through his 18 great grandchildren.
Jack is also survived by his sister Lenore Duel, brother Ken Hill, sister in law Marguerite Tresidder and numerous nieces and nephews.
