Twila was born in Hugo, Colorado to Earl and Lila Lee. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from Albuquerque High. She met Floyd James Balentine at a dance in Socorro, New Mexico while he was attending New Mexico School of Mines. They were married in September of 1948. Twila was a stay-at-home mom and raised four children. The family moved throughout the southwest to various mining operations. She loved to play cards. They traveled throughout the world after his retirement. Floyd passed away in 2010 and she moved to Butte, MT to be near family.
Twila was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister (Lucille), and daughter (Jill). Survivors include: Lee (Sharon) Balentine of Maupin OR, Cam (Sue) Balentine of Butte, MT, Jeff (Dee) Balentine of Minot, ND, son-in-law Dan Powers of Butte, MT, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Twila will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
