Tom was born July 24, 1929 in Anaconda, Montana to Paul and Mabel (Malee) Everett. His mother passed away while he was young, and he was raised by his father. After graduating from high school in Anaconda, he attended Carroll College in Helena. Tom joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife, Ingeborg Paschke. When Tom was discharged from the Air Force, he and Ingeborg settled in Butte, Montana, where he worked for Texaco for several years. When Texaco relocated their offices out of state, Tom went back to school and became a teacher. He taught for a few years, and became an acting principal at Melstone, Montana, which launched him on a path to be a school principal and superintendent in several towns across Montana. He retired from his school career in Colstrip, Montana.
Tom was an avid fly fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed taking his daughter and sons out. He and his wife also liked to camp, and took the family on several trips, including a long trip to Canada and Banff. The big trip for the whole family was to Germany in 1967 to visit family. In his later years, he and Ingeborg made memorable trips to Germany, Scotland, Ireland and Alaska.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
