Sharon Rae Rohret passed away Wednesday evening at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born Saturday, May 9, 1936 in Saco, Montana, to Alvin C. and Rowena (Stewart) Hovde.
Sharon was raised and educated in Dillon and worked at Metals Bank and later US Bank in Butte for many years. Sharon retired in the 1990’s and enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Mammoth.
She and E. Steve Rohret were married in Idaho Falls on October 1, 1976 and together they enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the joy of her life.
Sharon is survived by her husband, E. Steve Rohret of Butte, her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Church and Roxanne Vaughn of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Grandchildren: Brandy Church, Nicole Church and Matthew Church. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren: Shelby Andersen, Evan Andersen, Taevin Church and Lyric DeMaury. Other survivors include her brother-in-law, Ken Rohret and sister-in-law, Jane Lewis both of Butte. Sharon is preceded in death by her daughter, Rochelle Aultmann, son, Larry Church, grandson, Evan Church and her sister, Patricia Slagle.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home. Interment of ashes will be in Mountain View Cemetery, and a reception will follow in Wayrynen-Richards Community Center. Memorials in memory of Sharon may be made to the Highlands Hospice.
