Norbert Keller Jr., better known as Hank, passed away from cancer complications on March 3, 2018. Hank was born in Butte, Montana on Dec. 19, 1954 to Norbert and Claudia Keller. He was the fourth of five children. Throughout his childhood and later as an adult he enjoyed living and exploring the Homestake area.
Hank grew up in both California and Montana and attended schools in both states, with his high school years at Whitehall High. At the age of 17 Hank joined the Navy. After his departure from the Navy, Hank lived and work throughout the Northwest. Hank’s love of Homestake would always find him back in Butte. His profession was that of a welder and skilled handyman.
Hank leaves behind his father, Norbert Keller Sr. of Walla Walla, WA; his daughter, Sara (Bill) Loeffler of Belgrade; sons, Jason (Jenni) Keller of Belgrade, and Josh Keller of Butte; several grandchildren; and dear friend, Cora Ann Johnson of Butte. He is survived by sisters: Crystal (Jack) Nichols of Kennewick, Washington, and Barbara Holmberg (Greg) of Kennewick, Washington; and his brothers: Robin (Cheryl) Keller of Sacramento, California, and Carl Keller of Butte.
Hank was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Keller, and daughter, Crystal Collins.
Per his request, there will be no memorial service. His memory will live on in each of us.
