Marguerite McIntosh passed away peacefully in Aurora, Colorado, on July 6, 2020. She was born in Butte on August 5, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Ann Foley; her husband, Jack McIntosh; and son, Jody. She graduated from Butte Central Catholic High School in 1940. She married Wilfred John (Jack) McIntosh in 1946, and they raised eleven children together prior to his death in 1976.
Marguerite retired from her position as a dietary supervisor at Silver Bow General Hospital/St. James East, in 1992. She spent her early retirement years volunteering for the Paul Clark Home.
More recently, Marguerite volunteered tying no-sew quilts for donations to children in need. She had a large circle of friends that she enjoyed. She stayed in contact with many of them, even while recently staying in Colorado, with her daughter, Deann. Marguerite enjoyed traveling and visiting with family.
Marguerite is survived by her children, Sandi, Tim, Paul, Greg, Deann, Lori, Scott, Joanne, Kara and Marnie. Marguerite is also survived by nieces, Judy MGovern and Gerri Curry, and was proud to be their favorite Aunt.
Marguerite was known as Grandma Macs by many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her memory was infallible, and she never missed a birthday or anniversary. Mom, friend, aunt, Grandma Macs — you were loved dearly by all and you will be forever missed.
In lieu of a memorial service, Marguerite will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte with family in attendance at a later date. Remembrances on Marguerite's behalf can be made to the St Jude Shrine, 512 W. Saratoga St., Baltimore, Maryland, 21201-1896.
