Aug. 30, 1959-Oct. 6, 2019

At four thirty on the evening of the sixth of October, Katrina Marie Sinnott (Trina/Queenie) passed away from medical complications, while at home surrounded by her close family. Trina had just celebrated her 60th birthday in August.

Trina was born on August 30, 1959 to David and Darlene McNay in Anaconda, Montana. Her little brother Loren was born a few years later and they went on to have many wonderful adventures while living in Anaconda. She graduated from Anaconda High School in 1977.

She then moved out of the house and lived with her aunt Carol and uncle Dave Bock in Helena, Montana. Trina attended the Vo tech to become a certified computer programmer. She soon moved into her own apartment with the encouragement of her loving aunt and uncle.

Trina enjoyed the fun and excitement of meeting new people at work, many of which became lifelong friends. She enjoyed the challenges of advancing in her career as a computer programmer, working for various agencies over the years.

In 1978 she met Scott Sinnott from Babbit, Minnesota, fell in love, and enjoyed 39 wonderful years together. After they married, they bought a house out by Canyon Ferry lake with beautiful blue carpet and a separate kitchen and living room to start their new life. Soon after their family grew by two -- their eldest daughter Kamaria, and two years later, their daughter Kasandra. They then proceeded to tear out the blue carpet and remove the dividing wall yet kept the bright fluorescent orange countertops she hated.

Scott, Trina, and the girls went on many thrilling trips down south to visit Scott’s mom, visiting her brother Loren and his family in England, and numerous weekend boating/camping adventures on Canyon Ferry Lake. Kasandra had a son William, whom Katrina adored.  He had his “Nana” wrapped around his little finger, even though she never wanted to be called Nana.

She is survived by her parents David and Darlene McNay, her husband Scott Sinnott, daughters Kamari Sinnott and Kasandra Ward, grandson William Ward, brother and sister-in-law Loren and Lori McNay, beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dozens of cousins.

A memorial service celebrating Katrina's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A reception will follow the service in the social hall of the funeral home. Please visit www.aswfuneralhome.com to offer the family a condolence or share a memory of Trina.
