Oct. 19, 1952-Dec. 16, 2018
Henry Fischer passed away on December 16, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his loving fiancée’, Kellie Nosse, by his side.
The second of seven children, Henry was born on October 19, 1952 in Anaconda, Montana, to Henry Sr. and Anna (Jahner) Fischer. Henry attended Anaconda Senior High School. After high school he joined the United States Army, Infantry Division. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Lou Olsen, prior to being stationed in Germany in 1970. From this marriage three beautiful girls were born — Shelly, Jackie Rae, and Paula Jean. Henry and Mary Lou later divorced.
He then moved to Yuma, Arizona, where he married Lisa Olsen and they were blessed with another beautiful daughter, Cassandra Marie. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1995 where he worked for the Nevada Department of Corrections. Henry and Lisa divorced in 2014.
Henry loved to laugh and possessed a very quick wit. He had a nickname for most anyone he knew and especially those he loved. He often enjoyed heckling his friends and family. Henry had a love for Montana, however, he never missed the weather in the winter. He was sure to call the Montanans to inform them just how good the weather was in Las Vegas. He always kept up on the events of his hometown Anaconda, often calling loved ones asking them about an event. He would end these calls by telling them exactly what had happened. Henry was always checking up in his family members, even if he did not speak with them often, he always knew what they were up to and was concerned about their well being.
Henry had a magnetic personality, often drawing people to him. Many adored his sense of humor and cherished spending time with him. He was a strong man with a heart of gold that not everyone was lucky enough to see. Henry enjoyed gopher hunting, spending time at Montana lakes and driving in the mountains. He was an avid Yankee fan and loved music. He would often go to downtown Las Vegas to catch a concert and show off his Great Dane, Jeter. It was in downtown Las Vegas where he met his love, Kellie, while dancing at the New Orleans.
He is survived by his fiancée, Kellie Nosse; children, Shelly Fischer, Jackie Clemons and Paula Fischer; grandchildren Dana and HoniMarie Simmons, Curtis, Conner and Olivia Clemons; his six siblings, Angela Borgen, Eva Ross (Phil), Delbert Fischer, Kody Fischer, Fred Fischer and Cristobal Valdez (Robin); aunt, Christine Fode; numerous nieces and nephews; multiple friends; and his Great Dane, Jeter.
