June 13, 1940-Jan. 31, 2019
Mr. Ernest Alfred Henrikson passed away on Jan. 31, 2019 at Banner E. Del Webb Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona. Ernest was born on June 13, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alfred and Lillian Pearl (McClure) Henrikson.
A proud member of the Carpenter’s Union, Ernest was a lifelong construction worker. After his retirement he settled down in Spencer, Idaho, where he met the love of his life, Judy Marie Cooney. They were married on June 14, 2001, shortly before relocating to Butte. He spent countless hours under the “Big Sky," hunting, camping, and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling and escaped the Montana winters by heading south to Arizona. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Judy, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of his world. Ernest was always a man of his word. He said what he meant and meant what he said. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his integrity.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Janet, who was called home as a child. In addition to his wife, Judy, Ernest is survived by his children; Ricky (Kathy), Ernie, Terina, Jeff (Lisa), Tonya (Shane), Lisa (Al), and Kenneth; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Vernon Orme; sisters, Violet Hardinson, Dyana Maldovich, and Kathy (Kerry) Bills; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday after 10:00 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet in Anaconda, Montana.
