Oct. 6, 1960-Nov, 19, 2019

Our loving mother, wife, and “grandma Gunk” received her angel wings November 19th, 2019 in Spokane, WA after a long and courageous battle with heart failure.

The youngest of three children, Dorienne was born to Clay and MaryEllen (McGeehan) Redfern on October 6th, 1960. She attended Monroe Grade School and graduated from Butte Central in 1978. On July 16th 1988, Dorienne married the love of her life, Barry Queer. Together, they opened their Mexican restaurant, Ivanhoes, that they proudly ran for 5 years. After their 3 children, Kyle, Samantha, and Sarah were born, Dorienne went to work at the Butte Country Club. There, she made many great friends and memories, and was adored by everyone.

The best hobbies Dorienne was known for included making cakes, making delicious tamales, and doing crafts that she rarely finished. She was also very proud of her Christmas house collection and Christmas nutcrackers. One of her favorite places to spend time was Seeley Lake. She had many great memories there with her family and friends.

Dorienne had an infectious smile with a twinkle in her eye and an unforgettable sense of humor. She could light up every room. It may be an understatement to say that she lived life to the fullest. She was admired and loved by everyone. Dorienne’s greatest pride was always her family, Barry, Kyle, Sam, Sarah, and Owen. Dorienne and Barry shared many adventures together, including rides on the Harley and spending time at their cabin.

Dorienne is survived by her husband, Barry; her three children, Kyle Queer of Broadus, Samantha (Brandon O’Connell) of Butte, and Sarah (Rob Gray) of Billings; grandson, and her most favorite little man, Owen O’Connell, and a new little guy, Leo Gray, who will arrive in February.
