Craig was born on March 20, 1943, in Hartley, Iowa. His parents were Earl and Mary (Broni) Britton. In 1946, his family moved to Butte, Montana. Craig attended Butte Central Catholic School and went on to pursue his auctioneering career and work with his father at Montana Livestock. He won several Champion Auctioneer Contests and represented the Livestock Market Associations to judge the World Livestock Auctioneering Contests throughout the United States and Canada.
He married his best friend and soul mate, Shirley Britton, over 30 years ago.
Craig especially loved to be at his home in the mountains, going on trail rides with his dogs and best friends.
Surviving him are his wife, Shirley; loving children and grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joani and Jim Kissock, Anne and Jack Sanders, Kay and Al Hjellum, and Becky and DJ Birch; several dear nieces and nephews; and so many wonderful friends.
Memories of laughter will live forever. He will be sadly missed by family and everyone who knew of his generosity and kindness. The Big Cattle Man!
