Someone in Butte spent 50 cents on a Montana Cash lottery ticket and now it’s worth $380,000.
So who's the lucky winner?
Officials at the Montana Lottery are as curious as anyone else.
“We’re eagerly awaiting to hear from the winner," said Jennifer McKee, communications manager for the Montana Lottery.
Other than where the ticket was purchased — at the Richest Hill location in the Quality Inn at 2100 Cornell Ave. — there are few clues about who the winner might be, according to McKee.
The winning numbers were picked on Saturday.
While McKee said the highest ever Montana Cash jackpot was $440,000, she added that "this one was definitely, definitely one of the highest."
To claim the prize, the winner must fill out a claim form and present the physical ticket to lottery officials in Helena.
"Most people drive it up," McKee said of the winning ticket. "They don't want to send it through the mail, and I don't blame them."
