The Rumsey Gulch Fire near Philipsburg has burned five homes and numerous out buildings, Forest Service spokesman Leona Rodreick said Tuesday afternoon.
The blaze, which was reported around 6:20 p.m. Monday, on Tuesday had grown to 350 acres.
An estimated 110 people are fighting the wildfire, including three helicopters, hot shot and hand crews, an excavator and six engines.
Rodreick said residents are being allowed back onto their properties.
The fire also topped the ridge into Summer Gulch, she said.
More details will be posted here as they become available.
