Cows and bulls wandered onto a grassy field Wednesday afternoon after a semi-truck carrying 37 cattle overturned on Interstate 15 near its junction with Interstate 90.

According to Joe Fowler, trooper with Montana Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the driver of the southbound semi rolled the truck after negotiating a turn too quickly.

The driver was not injured, Fowler said, but one of the cattle had to be euthanized. A few cattle wondered toward a nearby grassy hill, but Fowler said law enforcement and wildlife officials were able to corral the cattle before they wandered off too far.
