The Butte-Silver Bow Health Department reported 10 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the county's total up to 100 cases with 30 currently active.
The cases were confirmed between Friday and Monday, and they include:

• a woman in her 70s.
Of the recently confirmed cases, four were related to a cluster, one was a household contact that was also linked to a cluster, and two were close contacts to other confirmed cases, according to a department news release. Health officials believe one of the cases was community-acquired, while two are still under investigation.
A contact investigation is underway to identify and notify close contacts of the new cases.
The county has not reported any coronavirus-related deaths and does not release information on hospitalizations.
Butte-Silver Bow health officials note that the county’s numbers related to COVID-19 do not always match up with the state’s map data. Cases are confirmed by the county on a rolling basis.
