Driving course set for Thursday
AARP Smart Driving Course is being offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Belmont Senior Center, 615 E. Mercury St. This includes one hour for lunch.
Benefits of attendance include a review of driving rules and skills, increased awareness of how your driving skill levels change over time, and your auto insurance company may offer you a discount for attendance. Details and to register, call 406-723-7773.
Adult dance classes to return
The Fine Line Dancers will start back up with adult beginner and beginner+ line dance classes on Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. and continue every Tuesday at same time the Knights of Columbus Hall. Classes are $4. Details: 406-560-1934.
Snowmobile fun run planned
The Jackpine Savages Snowmobile Club will sponsor its annual fun run on Jan. 12. Registration is 9 to 11 a.m. at the Wise River Club. Riders are due back to the club by 5 p.m., at which time dinner will be provided and prizes awarded.
A rafflle will be held in conjunction with the fun run. Tickets for the raffle $5 or five for $20. For details, contact Mike at 406-491-6235.
Diabetes workshop set for Jan. 17
The January Diabetes Learning Opportunity will start 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 17 at St. James Healthcare. The classes continue January 24 and 31.
Participants will work with a certified diabetes educator and a registered dietitian to create a customized self-management plan. The three-week session focuses on counting carbohydrates while including the foods you enjoy, what to do with your blood sugar readings, and how your medications work. Diabetes and how to prevent complications will also be discussed.

Rides offered to Thursday rally
Skyline Sportsmen are organizing rideshares to the Rally for Public Lands in Helena Friday.
Those wishing to attend should meet at Perkins at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning. The rally at the Capitol begins at noon.
