A so-called "destination playground" will be a key feature in the revitalized Stodden Park. These images from the chosen playground designer, Pennsylvania-based Playworld and Northwest Playground Equipment Inc. of Issaquah, Washington, show some of the play area's features. It will have three headframes 20 feet tall with fall-proof platforms at 9 feet and slides and other climbing features. The snow-capped Big M is 12 feet high and the mining truck is 14 feet high with room for 110 kids in the back and three twisting slides coming off the sides. The whole area is accessible to wheelchairs and parents can utilize equipment to exercise while keeping an eye on their young ones.
