Driving stolen vehicle without a license
At 4:50 p.m. Thursday, a Butte police officer driving near the intersection of Granite and Wyoming streets noticed Ray Dean Wilson, 61, behind the wheel of a purple 1999 Dodge Durango.
Aware that Wilson's driver license had been suspended for previous offenses, the officer pulled Wilson over and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen on Nov. 24.
Wilson was then booked for possessing stolen property, a felony, and driving while suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor.
Assault with unknown object
Officers responded to the Lincoln Apartments, 207 W. Park St., just after midnight on Friday to a report of a dispute between a man and woman.
When they arrived at the scene, police interviewed the woman, who reportedly claimed that Charles Quickenden Jr. had thrown something at her that hit her in the face. The woman was not sure, however, what had been thrown, according to police.
While Quickenden allegedly admitted to throwing and striking the woman, he also said he didn't know what he had thrown.
Police also could not determine what was thrown, but the woman reported her face had been injured and officers arrested Quickenden for simple assault, a misdemeanor.
